2025-01-16 - InterLAN Internet Exchange Expands Internationally: New Presence Point Opened in a New City

InterLAN Internet Exchange, the largest neutral internet and data traffic exchange hub in Romania, continues its international expansion.

Starting January 2025, InterLAN-IX has inaugurated a new presence point in Sofia, Bulgaria, further strengthening its international network. This step marks an important milestone in the company’s development, which has consistently expanded its infrastructure to meet the growing demands of data traffic exchange.

This expansion consolidates the InterLAN-IX network, which includes national presence points in cities such as Bucharest, Constanța, Timișoara, Craiova, Arad, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Suceava, and Târgu Secuiesc. The international network also includes a presence point in Frankfurt, Germany, alongside the newly opened one in Sofia, Bulgaria. Adding a presence point in Sofia marks a significant step forward in enhancing regional connectivity.

All InterLAN-IX presence points are hosted in colocation centers (datacenters), ensuring high-quality connectivity and a robust infrastructure for free data traffic exchange.

Through this expansion, InterLAN Internet Exchange reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of internet infrastructure and fostering collaboration between network operators at both local and international levels.
