Accepted Traffic

In order to provide an impeccable functionality, InterLAN-IX requires a series of restrictions concerning the type of traffic accepted. As such, the traffic quality is excellent for all traffic participants.
In this page you will find a summary of these restrictions.

 Connectivity - interface settings
The Ethernet interface towards InterLAN-IX port will be set as full-duplex speed and will not be set on auto-sensing speed.

 Ethertypes
The frames sent to InterLAN-IX access ports will be as follows:
0x0800 - IPv4
0x0806 - ARP

 Proxy ARP
ARP proxy activation on the exchange router interface is not allowed.

 Local Traffic
The traffic specific to local protocols should not be transmitted to the InterLAN-IX access port, including but not limited to:
  >IRDP
  >ICMP redirects
  >IEEE 802 Spanning Tree
  >Vendor proprietary protocols. These include, but are not limited to: DCDP, EDP, VTP, DTP
  >Interior routing protocol broadcasts (e.g. OSPF, ISIS, IGRP, EIGRP)
  >BOOTP/DHCP
  >PIM-SM
  >PIM-DM
  >DVMRP
  >ICMPv6 ND-RA
  >UDLD
  >L2 Keepalives

The following protocols are excepted:
  >ARP
  >IPv6 ND

 IP Layer
